Resume now online

I replaced the PDFolio link with a link to my updated resume. I also updated the Sketch and Design galleries yesterday night. There are two inked illustrations in the Sketch section and two new [to you] designs in the Design section. I will be adding descriptions to the new entries in the galleries shortly.

I also updated the Links page yesterday night too, and this evening. There are only a few links to the sites I view the most.

I also added more ads to the site. I'm broke, can you blame me? :P I might be coming around to the expiration of my web hosting plan, so any visits to the advertised sites would be appreciated. The lot of them are geared toward my own interests, so no, no pyramid schemes, no links to phishing sites, none of that deceptive crap.

If there is one promotion I'd like to steer you all towards, it's SlashMySearch.com. With this search engine, you get paid to search. Yes, people actually get paid to use their search engine, and users make more money when they refer people to SlashMySearch.com. The reason for this is that SMS pays its users to refer people, thus letting SMS avoid paying out big bucks for advertisement and and outside affiliate programs elsewhere. SMS is partnered with Snap.com, which is a wonderful search engine. With Snap.com, you can preview snapshots of sites before going to them. That way you can avoid unnecessary search results. SlashMySearch.com is in beta right now, but the services offered are pretty good. If you don't mind making a bit of money essentially doing nothing, it wouldn't hurt you to spend a minute signing up there. :)

Torrent Tracker added to site officially

I finally got off my rear to add a link to my torrent tracker. What brought it on is a new torrent uploaded to the site (with permission, of course). The newest torrent is of a freeware game called Doukutsu Monogatari, translated by Aeon Genesis Translations to what we English-speaking gamers know as Cave Story.

A wonderfully done Japanese platformer game by Studio Pixel, Cave Story is a refreshing experience that brings the classic platformer gameplay back to gamers of old and introduces new gamers to the beauty of a true 2D side scrolling adventure. Cave Story has a great story, a cast of colorful and comical characters, and the graphics, music, and effects are awesomely done to create a classic console feel. I'm not saying it can't be done, but you're not going to want to play this game with your keyboard. Cave Story's controls are simple, but the action can get fast-paced. Trust me, a PC controller is recommended; it's more fun with a controller anyway (imo).

That's my little review of the game. The torrent is actually a mirror of the Cave Story Deluxe download and is created with the permission of SkyeWelse, webmaster of the Cave Story English fan site. A special thanks to Skye for letting me be a part of spreading the awesome that is Cave Story. Go to the Torrents page to begin downloading Cave Story Deluxe for Windows.

I'm gettin' the heck outta here!!!

The college I mean. I'm done with my classes and on my way to graduating with my associates degree in Graphic Communications. The graduation ceremony is this Friday. I just picked up my dad from the airport, and my uncles will be showing their faces some time either Thursday or Friday. I wanted to get my hair done for my graduation, but it looks like it's not happening. At least I know how to do my hair myself. >.>;;

I'm not completely done with St. Louis Community College. I'm turning in a design for the college's accreditation report. It's an entry for the report's cover design contest. I spent a few hours trying to make sure the colors were correct for printing. I planned on getting the cover design printed at Office Depot, but then I ran out of time when it came to picking up Dad at the airport. So my adventure to get my contest entry in starts tomorrow. Finding parking downtown is going to be a complete circus act, so I'm hoping to get everything done as quickly as possible.

I hope I win the contest. That's $250 in my bank account. If I don't win, I'll just post the design here. If I do win, I'll post it here anyway. I'll have to see when it will be acceptable for me to post the design to my site. Other than that, life is good... I thought I was trying to be an illustrator. Oh well. >_<;;

Penny and Aggie

Penny and Aggie: Strip for May 4, 2007

It's sad that I saw the break up between these two coming (if they really are breaking up). I have to admit, this current arc has been very interesting so far.
